Our Lady of Good Counsel School is a welcoming and active community. We aim to build strong relationships between school, families, our parish, our local community and the wider community. All members of this school and parish are called to contribute to this vibrant school community.
OLGC Parents' Association is an energetic and visible part of the school community and offers many opportunities for parents to gather and become involved in the life of the school.
Communication between parents and the school has many benefits whether it is formal or informal. When parents and teachers share information, children feel more supported. Good communication can help create positive feelings between parents and the school.
At OLGC we warmly welcome parents into the classrooms to assist with a variety of activities. From assisting in literacy, to helping with cooking, maths tasks, art and craft activities, we also encourage parents to come in and share their expertise as guest speakers. Parents may volunteer at excursions and at school camps. Parents volunteering in class are asked to attend a Parents Helpers Course help at school
Every student who attends OLGC will have a life long connection with our school. Since 1924 hundreds of students have been educated and formed friendships that have lasted many years. We invite all past students to share their contact details with us, to ensure you stay connected as we build our Alumni network. Contact us here.
