Vision & Values

Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School is a Catholic school with students central to everything we do. Through innovative learning and teaching practice we educate learners to be critical thinkers, to collaborate and make connections to faith and life. Together we develop confident, resilient and hopeful students with a lifelong love for learning.

History

Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School was officially opened on 29 January, 1924. In 2012, the parishes of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Deepdene and All Hallows, Balwyn amalgamated and All Hallows Primary School was closed. In 2016 the Parish boundary was extended to include Our Lady of Victories, Camberwell.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School is now the Catholic Primary School across the three suburbs of Deepdene, Balwyn and Camberwell.

Academic Excellence

Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School achieves outstanding results and one of which we can all be proud. Our Curriculum is grounded in a rigorous academic program, where all students are encouraged to achieve high standards and become life-long learners. Through the combination of inquiry and exciting extra-curricular challenges, students are able to discover and develop their strengths and interests in a learning environment that celebrates achievement.

Facilities

Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School provides a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment designed to engage and inspire our students in classes from Prep to Year 6. Our learning spaces reflect the needs of students in the 21st century, developing learners who can transfer and apply their knowledge and skills within and beyond the school. By working in diverse spaces, this school ensures nurturing and stimulating environments where students are challenged in their learning.

Recently refurbished in 2016 we offer modern dynamic learning spaces.
