Meet the Principal
Mrs Jennifer Gray

Welcome to Our Lady of Good Counsel, a Catholic Parish Primary School, serving the Parishes of Deepdene, Balwyn and Camberwell.

Jennifer 2

May I extend to you and your family a very warm welcome to our school. I am honoured and privileged to be the Principal of Our Lady of Good Counsel Primary School, a Catholic co-educational primary school in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

At OLGC we firmly believe that Catholic school communities like ours are most effective when the community works together to educate the whole child emotionally, academically, socially and spiritually. We enjoy a reputation for academic excellence, a supportive community, an outstanding wellbeing program, exceptional teachers and cutting edge facilities.

Every teacher knows every student at OLGC. The small class-sizes allow personal engagement and a sense of belonging. Our parents, staff and students are an incredibly welcoming, engaged vibrant community. Come and join us at OLGC.

Curriculum

Through innovative learning and teaching practice we educate learners to be critical thinkers, to collaborate and make connections to faith and life.

Why Us - Curriculum

As a learning community we connect learning and living, with a contemporary approach to Catholic education. With students central to everything we do, we provide relevant and authentic experiences that support personalised learning.

In this way OLGC is responsive to the individual learning needs and overall wellbeing of students, providing developmentally appropriate programs and activities that enable students to achieve high quality learning outcomes.

OLGC students are the most respectful primary students that we photograph. It's a credit to the families & staff at the School. I am sure they will be outstanding leaders in the community.

Social Justice
Social Justice

At OLGC we are committed to building a compassionate global community where everyone’s rights are respected, protected and fulfilled. Through our Social Justice program we aim to make lasting change towards a socially just world, to build our students capacity to understand the injustices in our world and to take action to help create greater equity. We do this through education, raising awareness and integrating Catholic Social Teachings throughout the curriculum.
